Voltage Level Translator Bidirectional 1 Circuit 1 Channel 100Mbps SOT-5X3
Active12,440 in stock

Overview

The TXB0101DRLR is a 1-bit bidirectional voltage level translator featuring auto-direction sensing, eliminating the need for a direction-control signal. It bridges mismatched logic levels between a VCCA port (1.2V to 3.6V) and a VCCB port (1.65V to 5.5V). This device is designed for high-speed data transmission up to 100Mbps in push-pull CMOS applications.

Why Choose This Part

The auto-direction sensing architecture simplifies PCB routing by removing the requirement for a DIR control pin. It includes integrated +/-15kV ESD protection on the B-port and supports partial-power-down mode through Ioff circuitry, which prevents damaging backflow current when the device is powered down.

Applications

GPIO Level Shifting
Translating 1.8V or 2.5V microcontroller I/O to 3.3V or 5V peripheral logic.
High-Speed SPI/UART Bridging
Facilitating serial communication between ICs operating on different voltage rails at speeds up to 100Mbps.
Mixed-Voltage System Interfacing
Connecting legacy 5V sensors to modern low-voltage application processors.

Getting Started

Ensure that VCCA is always less than or equal to VCCB during operation. Use bypass capacitors of 0.1uF on both supply pins and pull the Output Enable (OE) pin to GND during power-up to ensure high-impedance state until supply voltages are stable. Avoid using this device with open-drain interfaces like I2C; use the TXS series for those applications instead.
