TITXS0104EPWR
Overview
The TXS0104EPWR is a 4-bit bidirectional voltage level translator designed for interfacing between different logic voltage domains without a direction-control signal. It supports translation between 1.65V to 3.6V on the A-port and 2.3V to 5.5V on the B-port, making it ideal for connecting low-voltage microcontrollers to higher-voltage peripherals. The device features auto-direction sensing and is compatible with both open-drain and push-pull CMOS logic outputs.
Why Choose This Part
The TXS0104EPWR eliminates the need for a DIR control pin, which simplifies PCB routing and reduces the number of GPIOs required from the host controller. It features integrated pull-up resistors optimized for open-drain applications while still supporting push-pull CMOS logic. Additionally, the device requires no specific power-supply sequencing, reducing the risk of latch-up during system startup.

Getting Started
To use this device, connect the lower voltage rail to VCCA and the higher voltage rail to VCCB, ensuring VCCA remains less than or equal to VCCB. Place 0.1uF bypass capacitors close to the VCCA and VCCB pins to minimize noise. For prototyping, engineers often use the TXS0104EVM evaluation module to verify signal integrity at the target data rates.
