UMWTMP36GT9Z
Overview
The UMWTMP36GT9Z is a low-voltage analog temperature sensor that provides a linear voltage output directly proportional to the Celsius temperature. It operates on a single supply between 2.7V and 5.5V and does not require any external calibration to provide typical accuracies of +/-2degC at 25degC. With a very low typical operating current of 50uA and a dedicated shutdown mode, it is well-suited for power-sensitive applications.
Why Choose This Part
The device offers a high-scale factor of 10 mV/degC and a 750mV output at 25degC, making it easy to interface with standard microcontroller ADCs. Its extremely low 0.5uA shutdown current minimizes drain when measurements are not required. The TO-92 package provides a familiar, easy-to-mount form factor for through-hole PCB designs or remote sensing applications.

Getting Started
To use this sensor, connect the VDD pin to a 2.7V-5.5V supply and the GND pin to system ground, then read the VOUT pin using a microcontroller ADC. Convert the measured voltage to temperature using the formula: Temp (degC) = (Vout in mV - 500) / 10. Ensure a 0.1uF ceramic bypass capacitor is placed close to the VDD pin to minimize noise in the analog output.
