Overview

The WaveSurfer 3104z is a 1 GHz, 4-channel digital oscilloscope that includes a built-in 16-channel mixed-signal logic analyzer and function generator. It features a 10.1-inch capacitive touch screen and 10 Mpts per channel memory depth (up to 20 Mpts when interleaved) for capturing long time windows at high sample rates.

Why Choose This Part

The 3104z offers a comprehensive toolset including a function generator and protocol trigger/decode within a single benchtop footprint. Its capacitive touch interface significantly improves waveform manipulation and navigation efficiency compared to traditional button-only interfaces.

Applications

Embedded System Debugging
Simultaneously analyze 4 analog signals and 16 digital lines to debug complex microcontroller and FPGA timing issues.
High-Speed Serial Analysis
Utilize the 1 GHz bandwidth and 430 ps rise time to characterize high-speed serial protocols and signal integrity.
Power Supply Characterization
Perform power rail analysis and switching loss measurements using the extensive math functions and trend analysis tools.
Mixed-Signal Prototyping
Use the integrated function generator and logic analyzer to stimulate and monitor circuits during the breadboard phase.
