Overview

The nRF52833-QDAA-R7 is a versatile multi-protocol SoC featuring a 64 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 with FPU and 512kB Flash memory. It supports Bluetooth 5.3, Direction Finding, Thread, and Zigbee, making it a capable hub for complex wireless networking. This part also includes a full-speed USB 2.0 interface and can operate across a wide supply voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V.

Why Choose This Part

It offers an excellent balance of memory with 128kB RAM and power efficiency, reaching sensitivity down to -103dBm for robust long-range links. The integrated DC-DC regulator and 128-bit AES hardware acceleration reduce external component count and improve security performance. Support for an extended temperature range and a high +8dBm output power makes it reliable for industrial-grade wireless deployments.

Applications

Direction Finding and RTLS
Utilizes Bluetooth 5.1 Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Angle of Departure (AoD) capabilities for high-precision indoor positioning.
Advanced Wearables
The low sleep current of 1.1uA and integrated FPU make it suitable for battery-powered devices requiring local sensor data processing.
Smart Home Gateways
Concurrent multi-protocol support allows the device to bridge Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, and Zigbee networks.
Professional Lighting
Optimized for Bluetooth Mesh and 802.15.4 stacks used in large-scale industrial and commercial lighting control.
