wESP32-Prog-C
Overview
The wESP32-Prog-C is a specialized USB-to-Serial programming adapter designed for the wESP32 series of Power-over-Ethernet development boards. It features a modern USB Type-C interface and integrates a 12V Power Delivery (PD) capability to provide sufficient power for the wESP32 during development without requiring an active PoE injector. The module connects via a compact 2x10-pin header footprint to facilitate firmware uploads and serial console debugging.
Why Choose This Part
The inclusion of 12V USB PD support eliminates the need for external power supplies or PoE injectors during the software development phase. Its ultra-compact 15mm by 22mm footprint and Type-C connector modernize the workflow compared to older micro-USB based programmers.
Applications
Getting Started
Plug the wESP32-Prog-C directly into the J2 header on a wESP32 board and connect a USB-C cable to your PC. The module uses standard CP2102N drivers which are recognized by the ESP-IDF, Arduino IDE, and PlatformIO as a standard COM port for flashing and serial monitoring.
Dev Boards
