Student projects with HCS 12

Hi everyone,

Can u suggest me some projects using HCS12

It all depends on:
1) What do you want to do?
2) How much time do you have to devote to it?
3) How much is your bank account willing to fork over? (I'm being a little
sarcastic, but you do have to consider costs.)

If this is just a small project for a class, then I'd recommend choosing
something very simple. Believe me, it will me more than enough work when
you are done. For example: interface an Real Time Clock chip via the IIC
interface to save and retrieve time. Simple, not expensive, but more than
enough for a class project to get the IIC interface working and time/date
saved and retrieved.

Do you have the dragon12 evaluation board? If yes you can do a lot of fun stuff easily as it has LCD display as well. You can use its serial communication Interface to communicate with other devices, may be using IR. some times you get ships and other devices for free as samples. you can incorporate the interrupts and timer features. Depending on the number of boards you have, you can set up a small network.

Other fun features are PWM and ATD feature,
1.you could control speed of motor,
2. you can set up a small control system
3. you can do traffic signal system, go crazy with models of roads and cars on it, this can turn out to be really cheap as well
4. small robot
5. ATM system ( using Keypad interface)
6. Some sort of a game with user interface.
man the possibilities are endless. Just try to do something different and creative. Is this for a college project? Feel free to ask for further help!

Thank you,

I have the dragon board with me and would like to spend around 500$ for that
and this project is for my coursework in masters level, I thought of all the
basic ideas given but all of them have been already done. If you can give me
any idea of projects involving wireless topics or something mobile, it would
be greatful.
