hello,
I use the EW6812-Pro 2.44A until yet. Since I use this IDE only one update comes out (in 1 year). To you know about new benefits planned for the next few years? Will there be an absolut new version of the EW6812? I want to know it, cause I would like to map to use the EW6812 for the future. thanks Patrick |

Dear Patrick I have no doubt that IAR has some of the best compilers in the industry. However, I think their commitment to Freescale is not in the same league as to other manufacturers. I bought the IAR compiler and trashed it within a year and went the Metrowerks route. No regrets. Dear Sean
how much did you pay for the Metrowerks. Do you have to pay each year money to get support and updates. If so, how much? I don't know Metrowerks. Can you tell me a little bit about this tool (Support language, features)? thanks a lot -- Patrick Gempeler <> ProEda AG Datenmanagement <http://www.proeda.ch/> Bollstr. 32, CH-3076 Worb Tel +41 31 838 45 00, Fax +41 31 838 45 40 ----- Original Message ----- From: seanhurly To: Sent: Thursday, September 16, 2004 7:53 AM Subject: [68HC12] Re: IAR embedded workbench updates Dear Patrick I have no doubt that IAR has some of the best compilers in the industry. Can you tell me a little bit about this tool (Support > language, features)? The product pricing includes the first year of support. Here's the new part number list and pricing. You can find all the various version information and pricing as well as download free versions from Metrowerks http://www.metrowerks.com/MW/Develop/Embedded/HC12/Default.htm Ron -- Metrowerks Community Forum is a free online resource for developers to discuss CodeWarrior topics with other users and Metrowerks' staff -- http://www.metrowerks.com/community -- Ron Liechty - - http://www.metrowerks.com |

Our company has used the IAR compiler and had no problems. The simulator / debugger on the other hand were not very good and we swithed to Nohau.
