How to program flash in Rowley Crossstudio

Started by armcoder November 30, 2005
Hi all,
I'm using Rowley Crossstudio in the evaluation period. As a debug
interface I use wiggler. Debugging in RAM works great, but when trying
to debug in Flash it pops an error, that verifier has found errors,
and nothing in Flash has changed. How to program the flash correctly
through the IDE and wiggler? Where to set output to .hex or hzx to use
CrossLoad or SAM-PROG? Solution via wiggler is prefered :)
thanx in advance

We have an updated loader.exe for the SAM7S which fixes this problem -
please contact Rowley directly.

Regards
Michael

Are there more ARM books available? I have only found three, and I would
assume there are more out there.

The ones I have found are ARM System Developer's Guide, ARM System-on-Chip
Architecture, and ARM Architecture Reference Manual. I'm particularly
interested in Atmel chips, but anything would be interesting.

Bruce,

I found  Embedded System Design on a Shoestring (ISBN 0750676094) a very good practical guide for "getting started" with the process of actually putting an ARM on a board and getting development underway.

I had a good search for ARM books and didn't find that many.

The books I find indispensable are:
"Embedded System Design on a Shoestring". A good first read on GNU + ARM. Some
errors, but a great kick-off. I don't use it any more, but use it as an
introduction for others. Very good at explaining ld scripts etc.

"ARM System Developer's Guide" by Sloss et al. Absoluely fanstastic book full
of snippets etc.

Both are available from Amazon and other outlets.

RE: [AT91SAM7] (ARM Books)ARM System Developer's Guide (ISBN: 1-55860-874-5) is also very good. ----- Original Message -----
