Anyone succeeded with KS0713 LCD interface ?

Started by gpsrunner2000 March 25, 2004
Hi members

Try to connect LCD KS0713 controller in serial mode to my BASICX-24.
(I use SID, RS, SCLK without any Pull Up resistors)

ANYONE know of any BASICX-24 codes somewhere that works?

Modified "LCD_595 by Jon Williams over and over" but the LCD
seems to be DEAD....

Thankful for any link/s that might help.

Best Regards,
Hans Selin

You didn't mention the other inputs such as CS2, CS1B, RS, E_RD,
RW_WR, PS and MI. Do you have them connected properly for serial
input?

I referred to the documentation at http://www.lcd-
module.de/eng/pdf/zubehoer/ks0713.pdf. Is that what you have?

Yes, almost, i have KS0713B-H0CC:

And i have connected the following:
- VDD to 3.0 Volt
- VSS to ground
- SID to BASICX-24 pin
- SCLK to BASICX-24 pin
- RS to BASICX-24 pin, High =Display Data, Low = controll Data
- /RESET to BASICX-24 pin for module reset
- /CS1B to BASICX-24 pin for module active or inactive
Thats all, doesn't have any more connectors such as RW_WR, PS, MI,
E,RD or CS2.

I played with the PUTPIN, PULSOUT and Jon W's LCDPutLCD but NO
data at all.

/Hans

I got a 404 error trying to access that PDF. Also, I tried getting
the PDF from their table of COG devices but it just kept showing the
page with the table. A message to their webmaster was returned as
undeliverable.

Can you email me the PDF and I'll look it over to see if I can see
anything that might be causing the problem.
