Can AVR Studio be used with the BasicX 35/24?

AVR Studio 4:

It supports the Atmel chips used by BasicX but I was not sure if they
were modified so that AVR Studio could not be used.

thanks,

It could be used but probably not in the way that you are
contemplating. The AVR chip on a BX-24 contains special firmware that
implements the BasicX interpreter. AVR Studio can completely erase
the AVR chip after which it could be programmed with your own code.
Of course, this would render it useless as a BasicX device.
