UltraEdit instead of BasicX IDE

Started by Konstantinos Sophocleous September 15, 2005
Sorry to bother all, this might be completely useless to you.

I just finished a tutorial HTML describing how to use UltraEdit as your IDE
instead of the dreadful BasicX IDE. Since I don't have a website, I was
wondering if someone who has a website could post this.

In case you are interested, drop me an email (my email address is at the
bottom). It's an .HTML file a .C file and the executable.

You can post it here, if you wish, in the Files section.

You could post it in the files section of this group as a zip file.

I'm interested if you were able to integrate in a download and debug
mechanism or does the IDE only handle editing and compilation?

Done. Placed in BasicX Tools

It handles the errors quite well... It also handles downloading but now that
you mention it i haven't done anything particular about downloading
problems. I assume that it always works. About the debug mechanism, I don't
think i can do anything about it.

Maybe I can extend the C code to trap download related problems when I have
time. For the time being, it works satisfactorily.

I will be very interested to see what you did differently from the
BasicX IDE. Can you give us the highlights of your improved IDE?
