LCD+ Keyboard

Started by Edward Ringel April 4, 2006
Hi All,

I am new to BASICX although I've programmed on and off for quite a
while. I am trying to use the LCD+ to read a 4x4 keypad (home made). I
have made successful contact with the module (no problem writing to the
display screen, no problem running the relays) but I can't seem to
communicate with the keypad. When the module is powered up but not
attached to the BX-35, it recognizes all keypresses. When power up the
BX-35 and have it run the LCD+, I get all sorts of random numbers and
freezes. I can post code if that would help.

Thanks much.

Ed
Seeing the code always helps.

Chris,

You are absolutely right; it was dumb to think that I could get any
help without showing code; I thought maybe there was some known bug
that would get an "aha!" when I asked about this issue. I isolated
the keyboard code and retested it. It is NOT an API issue--works
fine as isolated code in its own project-- and I simply need to
debug my program. As such, that's my problem. If I come up with
something that is of communal interest, I'll post again. Thanks.
