Measuring PWM

Started by Don Kirby August 1, 2006
Hello all,

I'm looking for a simple way to measure multiple PWM signals at one
time. Can anyone suggest a method to convert PWM to voltage to avoid
the need to actually time the pulses?

I was thinking perhaps a simple doide wave shaper, but I haven't been
able to get it to work as I would expect it to just yet.

Hi Don,

The way I have done it before is to use a simple RC filter to convert the
PWM to an analog voltage and then use the built in D/A to measure it!

Have a look at the following: (Sorry I know it is a dodgy source but it
explains it well! )

Figure 7.1 on Page 123 of Chapter 7 of

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Andy
