Debugging assembly

This sounds very much like the 6800 and 6809 assemblers
which used to run under MDOS a long time ago.
If error 211 is undefined symbol, error 234 duplicate
symbol definition, I'd bet this is where the origins
of your assembler are. Used to take ages on those
1MHz systems - but did a good job. Well later I had
also a faster, 2 MHz system... Still have one working
around, although its assembler has not been used for
> 10 years.
