VxWorks for PC?

Started by andersod2 August 28, 2008
Hey all,

Is there a simulator-type shell of VxWorks that works with windows
xp?...I'm thinking something along the lines of like cygwin...I know
it's kind of a backwards idea, but I'm just talking in terms of
getting used to the dev environment and basic stuff that isn't
particularly real-time depedant. I heard of VxSim...has anybody used
this?

thanks for any insights!

Hi, Vxsim If I am correct was available till vxworks version 5.x.Not sure whether you get it for 6.x series. This simulator can be used to know the OS functionalities, but you cannot test or practice anything related to hardware. So,If this is what you are looking for, contact windriver local sales people and they should be able to provide you a package for a cost. Its not available free any where.
