Hi All,
I am having phyCore board with LPC2294 (ARM7TDMI). I want to compile
and run the uClinux on this.
For this i am using following versions and patches:
1. linux-2.6.11.8.tar.bz2
2. uClinux-Philips-LPC22xx.tar.obj
3. uClinux-dist-lpc22xx.patch.obj
4. uClinux-dist-20051110.tar.gz
5 . linux-2.6.11.8-hsc0.patch.gz
I am having 1MB RAM and 2MB Flash on this board. The compiled images
(linux.bin - 697K, romfs.img - 238K) are in RAM. I am not using Flash for
booting the
kernel.
I am facing problem while mounting romfs image. How should i point the romfs
address in the kernel.
Thanks and Regards,
Pratik.

Hello Pratik,
I have own doubts.
1. Linux is too heavy for LPC, even if you are able to run linux, there will
little room to do any thing usefull.
2. The romfs image is expanded and put on file system in ram area. Even the
kernel image is expanded and put in ram.
I think you need to put both images on flash and keep ram for working
space.
3. Finally 1 MB RAM (or it is 32bit wide?) would be too less to run Linux.
