Do ANY LPC213x suppliers have stock?

Started by watchlooknlisten July 28, 2006
Hello,

I am having a dickens of a time getting any LPC213x parts other than
the LPC2131. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I have shaved down the embedded code to where it barely fits in a
2131, but the tradeoff is not somethng that will work for much
longer. Does anyone out there know of any suppliers with
LPC2132,2134,2136, or 2138 parts? Lead times I am being quoted for
North America are over 16 weeks for the LPC2138 and over 8 weeks for
everything else.

An alternative could be to use an SPI flash part for more room and
compile modules that could possibly be dynamically loaded? Has
anyone tried something like this. It would just be a whole lot
easier if Philips had more manufacturing capacity :-)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need 1K parts
immediately, and about 2.5K parts a month thereafter.

Thanks...

Manish,

supply has been bad for the last 3 months but from what I heard (and
see on the Digikey website) it returned almost to normal. The 16 weeks
sound like sombody not knowing what they are talking about.
Whaen I checked a couple minutes ago, digikey had 276 devices of
LPC2138 in the QFP-package and 320 LPC2136 same package.
