erase Flash using UART1?

Started by gtrfender August 18, 2006
Hello,

Is there a way to erase Flash instead of using the Philips Flash
Utility via UART0? The LPC2292-board I'm working on is configured
with UART1 on the RS232 port and UART0 communicating with the IO
board. I'm developing a Loader program, however, I downloaded some
code that rendered the board unable to communicate. I'm trying to
erase Flash and get the board back to a known state.

Thank you for any help or suggestions! Marc

If you implemented the JTAG debug port on your board, then you can
erase FLASH with either OpenOCD or H-JTAG if you have a Wiggler clone.

Hi Dave,

Do you (or anyone here) know off-hand if OpenOCD will work with Xilinx
DLC5 or Digilent JTAG3 cables? I need to do a simple experiment and I
am looking for a quick solution.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jaya,

support for the DLC5 is included. In the config file, use
interface parport
parport_port
parport_cable dlc5
