Timer / Counters LPC213x series

Started by johncrad July 14, 2007
Folks the nxp page:
path=/50809/45993/45994,final=LPC2131_32_34_36_38_3]|[9]>
shows in the parametrics that these parts have 4x32 bit timers.
However, the data sheet states that they have 2x32 bit timers. Can
some kind person advise the correct position?
TIA

After trolling further I can answer my own question! For those interested, to get to 4 timers one needs to count the WDT and RTC. Specmanship strikes again. Apologies for wasting the bandwidth.

There is also the PWM timer, which is in most respects like the other ones, except it can't be
externally clocked and it won't do capture.
I'm not sure where you're getting this. Looking at the product pages and
manuals, I see them consistent. The 2131/2 have 2 32-bit timers. The
2134/6/8 have 4. I'm not quite sure how you got to that page, but the
parametric filer I found here (
http://www.standardics.nxp.com/products/lpc2000/mcus/parametric/?gptimers=4)
seems to be accurate in that respect. It doesn't return the 2131/2 as
results. It does return the 2101/2/3, but it doesn't say they're 32-bit
timers either.

A lesser known fact that the nxp folks have clued us into before: The site
at ( http://www.standardics.nxp.com/microcontrollers/ ) is more frequently
updated - though this may not have so much effect since the merger, I don't
know.
