Upcoming boards for LPC210x and new 64-pin devices

Started by Unknown December 16, 2003
Hi,

recently I attended a Philips training for the LPC2000 ARM
microcontrollers. Two boards with availability in January timeframe
were announced.
1. For the LPC2104/5/6 there will be a board from Philips / IAR
2. For the LPC21x4 and LPC21x9 there will be a board from Philips / Keil

Both boards come with a trial version of the Compiler either 16k or
32k code size restriction but no expiration date.
Both boards will be available with / without JTAG debugger.

Versions without JTAG debugger have been announced @ $149
Versions with USB - JTAG interface were not quite clear but probably
below $300

The Philips trainer showed the boards already and I am pretty sure the
Lewin got one of these Philips / Keil boards.

Looking forward to an official announcement and the boards being ready
for sale.

Cheers, Bob

Be advised that the only way to use the board effectively with the Keil
tools is if you have a Keil USB-JTAG interface. uVision doesn't
integrate with (say) gdb+parallel-wiggler.

Yes, that's correct. Mine has a couple of patch wires and it doesn't
totally match the documentation, but I don't know what predates what.
The board has two serial interfaces, two CAN interfaces, a JTAG port,
eight LEDs and two buttons.

By the way: I'll be canvassing for suggestions on applications I should
include in the book...
