What is the difference between Segger and Micrium?

Started by Marko Pavlin October 19, 2007
I am looking for RTOS and GUI solutions for a LPC project. Beside many
other, I am comparing those two:

http://www.micrium.com/index.html
and
http://www.segger.com/index.html

They both have very similar products, similar clasification, GUI
simulator has same look, prices are similar... so, could someone please
tell me the whole story?

Thanks!

Marko

So using J-Link RDI with an LPC part does not require a license.

Very Nice ! I can single stop faster than I could before too now...
I must have some more configuring to do though cuz it sometimes "runs"
instead of single stepping after hitting F11, at least when F11'ing
from the C source window. I don't normally need more than 1 or 2
breakpoints, but this is still a pretty neat deal I think.

Single stepping in highlevel is normaly done by setting a breakpoint
and the "run". If you used up all (2) breakpoints some debuggers
offer you to do real single-step (on assembly level).

Hi Marko

You might want to try out our tool RapidiTTy Preview. We are a new company called TTE Systems and we have recently launched this tool.

RapidiTTy Preview is based on a time-triggered architecture. It currently supports the LPC-P2129. Its a very simple tool to use. If you are interested, you'll find more information on our wesbite: www.tte-systems.com.

Best wishes,
Anjali
