Olimex LPC2138

Started by Pavan Kandepet November 1, 2007
Hello,
Does anybody in this group own a LPC2138 board from Olimex? I want to try out the sample examples
presented on their website and I cant seem to find the required header files. If anyone has a simple
working code for LED blinking, I would be thankful if i could get the source with the required header
files.
-thanks

The response seems to indicate that the header file in question is
provided by IAR.

dear Pavan,
i have developed my own board some what similar to LPC2138. i have tried out some examples and the board is running in good condition
instead of 32.768 for RTC my board have an option of using DS32Khz IC from MAXIM . It is a temperature compensated high accuracy clock generator chip . may be the baord is better than Olimex

Hi,
I have purchased a board from Olimex and I was very
disappointed by the fact that it did not even come
with a CD or evaluation software.
I don't know if that common practice from Olimex but I
will not buy any development board from Olimex any
longer.

You have to download the software from their web site, it's the same with
all their boards.

That's of course your good right, anyway, but FMI: did they in any way
make you believe you would get more than just the board?

With just a little bit of tweaking around, i was able to get the
blinky program working. I'm just a little disappointed that Olimex
should have atleast provided the required headers in their sample
programs.

That is, of course, your choice and your loss, since they make good

hardware at a reasonable cost. If you look at their web site you can

see that the stuff you wanted is available for free download.
