I represent a new company called TTE Systems.

In keeping with the spirit of the season, we have just launched a *free*
software tool called "RapidiTTy Lite". RapidiTTy Lite is based around GCC
ARM and Eclipse and targets LPC2xxx microcontrollers. The examples included
with the tool target the LPC2129 microcontroller (and the Olimex LPC-P2129
board in particular). They can be adapted without great difficulty to work
with other members of the LPC2xxx family.

RapidiTTy Lite is available now, for download from our WWW site. The tool
is free and no registration is required.

I regret that we cannot provide support for this free product (but there is
an extensive user guide available - also a free download).

I hope that some members of the list find RapidiTTy Lite useful.

RapidiTTy Lite is a combination of GCC compiler, IDE and debugger.

The package includes a number of simple examples which target the LPC2xxx
family. The examples employ "time triggered" software architectures (which
is the focus of the various products from our company - the name relates to
"Rapid TT").

As it happens, some of the examples support a serial ("RS-232") interface,
but RapidiTTy Lite is a general-purpose development tool.

Since we announced "RapidiTTy Lite" on this list last week, we've had a
large number of downloads and a number of questions.

We are pleased by the level of interest, but RapidiTTy Lite is free. We are
a small company and we can't provide support for this product (sorry). The
manual explains the installation process in detail. We've also added a
couple of "screencasts" to the WWW site which should help to get people
started with the tool:

Please note: the *only* examples available for RapidiTTy Lite are for
LPC2129 processor (with the main target being an Olimex board). We can't
provide examples for other boards / chips at this time (but the examples we
provide can be adapted quite easily).

To provide further support (following an example from Radiohead...), we are
launching a new book project. This will involve releasing free (draft) book
chapters on our WWW site, starting in January 2008. The chapters will be
complete and the code needed to run the examples will be provided too. Most
of the examples in the book (up to Chapter 24) target LPC2xxx
microcontrollers.

further suppliers / distributors of Olimex LPC2129 boards and Olimex
ARM-USB-OCD debug hardware.
