Crossworks and LPC2119

Started by jasuk1970 February 6, 2008
Hi,
I've been looking for a compiler to use with my current board and a
Olimex LPC-2378STK board I have on order.

I'm not a commercial outfit, just a hobbyist and saw this software for
75 which is affordable to me. (And it's great to buy software
developed in your own country ;-) )

Has anyone had any experience with using Crossworks with a LPC2119?

I'm also wondering in the ARM-USB-TINY Jtag programmer that comes with
that board will work on my ET-ARM7 Start kit V1.0 (By ETT)

Cheers,

Jas

An Engineer's Guide to the LPC2100 Series

I use Crossworks on LPC2119 (and other 21xx).
I like it. It works well. I'm a satisfied customer.

The JTAG interfaces I have that work with Crossworks are:
Rowley Crossconnect (i.e. their own USB)
Olimex "Wiggler" clone (parallel port. Very cheap, but slower than
Crossconnect.)

The Arm-USB-Tiny claims to be supported by Crossworks,
but I don't know since I don't have it. (I've no reason to doubt it).

I don't know anything about the ETT ET-Arm7. A quick Google
search shows it has a standard 20-pin JTAG connector so it
should work without problem.

Hope this helps,
Danish

Thanks for the info.

I've ordered the Crossworks and I'm getting one of the Crosswork Lite's.

So should hopefully be up and running on both boards quickly.

Cheers,

Jas
p.s. I expect many questions will be following ;-)
