Thanx Mr Ryan,

I've controllerless LCD NEC make.

So how to interface this LCD.
How much I should keep Hsync, Vsync ??
Is it possible to use lesser resolution than what LCD screen support.
I've VGA resolution screen.
with regards
Ravi

Get the interface description and follow it to the letter. This is
probably doable with an ARM (if the required amount of RAM is
available), but not easily.

Very impressive, the abstract is nicely written too, thanks for sharing that :)

(Also shows I was wildly wrong about how much an PLC2000 can do too)

Ravi,

It may be possible to directly drive the panel with an ARM processor as
Wouter said, though, I'd frankly be surprised if you had enough
resources left to do much 'real' work afterwards. Also you will need
more than 38kb of RAM unless of course you only buffer (and render to)
less than the total available screen realestate. Beyond that I can not
comment any further personally I'd hunt for a controller to drive the
thing for you (probably simplest and cheapest), or possibly look at
using an FPGA/CPLD to do the work (relatively complex, but also more
fun). Honestly I've never needed to directly drive an LCD, though
hopefully someone with some actual experience on doing this may be able
to offer some wisdom.

Good luck

Ryan
