Dear All,
I would like to use Linux OS instead of WinXP for
embedded programming.
Prevously I was using WinARM + FlashMagic tools.

What are the tools available on Linux for compiling and porting code
on ARM Chip ?

GCC. But for what reason you want such a monster of an OS.

Did you consider the overhead for such thing (ROM,RAM, boottime,...)

Maybe you go to one of the "embedded Linux" companies (MontaVista comes
to mind, and DENX).

To Ravi: Codesourcery provide there LITE version also for Linux.

GNUARM and lpc21isp (for device programming, if appropriate). You can
certainly use the command line but I prefer Eclipse as an IDE. Select
the C/C++ Developers version from here:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/
