Hello,
I am newbie about ARM uCs. I have experience about uCs and i am interesting in
ARM especially LPC's now. I've searched the jtags and dev. env. on
google and i read some group messages but i do not know what i should buy as a
jtag. I wanna focus on LPC2468 now. After that i will try an ARM9 based uC and
then maybe on ARM11. Which jtag(ulink2, jlink, hlink, olimex's openocd
etc.) and which IDE(keil, IAR, eclipse + (tools) etc) do you suggest me?
Thank you all.

To get sensible answers you would need to provide the information that
allows people to make a judgement.
The obvious question now being "what is your budget"?

Given that fact that you are new to ARM, I would suggest to start with ARM7
based LPC2000 to begin with. Its difficult to suggest you the tools as you
have not mentioned the budget.

Hi,
JTAG debugger is not necessary, you can use flash magic utility from NXP.
Actually with the help of jtag debugger you can download code and execute
code. You can do single stepping, view content of variables etc. Just like
simulator.
If you will not use jtag, then you will able to download by flashmagic tool.
After download it will run freely.
It is better to have jtag debugger but not necessary.
you can find link to different ARM tools on following link

Although this doesn't really belong to this forum, you might find it easier
to start with one of Texas Instrument's excellent Cortex-M3 development
cards that already include a USB to JTAG connector and comes with a fully
configured demo version of IAR/KEIL toolset. By the M3 series, ARM has ironed
out quite a few of the little niggles to be found in the ARM7 series.

sorry about the lack of info. My bugdet is $150-$200 for jtag and i wanna work
on ARM as my hobbie not professional. I've checked e-bay and there are some
options but not the original versions. for ex. the ulink2 it looks like the
original but made in china :) should i trust these kind of things?

In which case your options are very limited.
Consider a personal edition of Rowley CrossWorks @ $150 with a
CrossConnect Lite (JTAG) @ $60. An Amontec JTAG Tiny is another option
for the JTAG @ 60.

If you are thinking about OpenOCD then maybe this:

Sparkfun has a couple of other devices but they require a parallel port.
