Does Anyone here have experience in interfacing a scanner element with LPC controller

Dear Members

I want to build a system to scan a document. Does any one here have prior experience on interfacing scanner elements with LPC or ARM device.
What scanner parts have you used? thankx in advance

An Engineer's Guide to the LPC2100 Series

I have worked on a scanning system using an LPC2378.  Due to the speed of the scanning we had analog circuitry and then an FPGA to buffer the bit stream and sync with the encoder.  The FPGA shared RAM with the ARM microcontroller.  This was not a simple product.  The scanner part was from Rohm.

Dear Bruce,

I thought it might be the LPC2378 frequency and RAM speed limits. Or you can consider LPC4357.

Our company have some boards. www.myirtech.com

You can make for reference.

Hi Mohit,

If the speed is too slow, you can consider NXP LPC4357, the frequency and RAM speed is higher and faster. If still slow, you can consider Atmel SAM9G45. They are all ARM controllers. I thought it might be LPC2378 performance limits but not sure.

You can have a reference.
