Memory Check. Simultaneous DAC and ADC

Started by burtswp July 1, 2005
I have this memory (probably I'm hallucinating) that I read about a
problem using the ADC and the DAC at the same time on those LPC213x
chips that have the DAC.

I've done a search and haven't found anything like that. Does anybody
else remember anything like that? Did I dream it or just get it
confused with something else?

An Engineer's Guide to the LPC2100 Series

Hi,

may be (just may be) you have been using the LPC900 family of Philips
as well. On that family the DAC is part of the ADC and can not be
used at the same time because it shares the same internal circuit.

The LPC213x has one 10-bit DAC that is independent of the ADC and I do
not remember reading anything here on the Forum that would indicate
problems with parallel use.

Cheers, Bob

Bob,

Thanks. I probably read that and got it confused in my memory.
