Started by vineet jain September 20, 2005
Hello people,
I am new to this group. Currently I am using the GNU compiler that comes with Keil. Can anyone tell me if there is a limitation on this version. I have also downloaded the GNU Arm toolchain from the GNU website. It is suppose to run under Cygwin. Is there a text editor in Cygwin to create files??

Waiting for yuor help,

Thanks,
Vineet. __________________________________________________

There are no limitations to the gcc compiler. There might be limitations to
the debugger if you are using the Keil one though.

Most people just use Cygwin for the command tools etc. Cygwin runs within
Windows and does not take over the Windows PC. You canuse regular Windows
editors.

Programmers notepad that comes with WinARM is good choice. Also you can
use ECLIPSE IDE with GNU toolchain.
