Hi all,
I'm working with IAR EW23 (also tryed today MSP430 Kickstart last
version from TI website).FET is connected to LPT.
I have this problem:
When i'm starting debugger , system frozen for 1..5 seconds and
restarts - i suppose something causes RAM refreshing to stop.
I was truying:
- MSP430 tools uninstall and - IAR uninstal
- install again
There wasnt result.
I was reinstalling Win98 (without formating or deleting old Windows
directory)- nothing was changed.

How this starts - i copyed project from other computer, IAR requested
files for unknown processor - and i copyed files .xcl,.ddf,.h from
other computer. After that IAR sayd driver cannot recognize device in
FEFET. I copyed MSP430.dll from other computer. From this moment system
starts crashing. One time Win98 sayd that driver "driverx.vxd" is not
presented (but file was in place).

Please, help with advise!

First, I do not think that there is a '98/ME version for IAR. Check the directory
for your FET driver. I can allmost bet that its name contains "XP". This happened
for my USB FET.

Second. IAR has a serious bug in its FET drivers but they do not want to recognize it :
It is their way to keep track on who is using their product. Once you utter this question
you are recorded :)

I used EW430 with LPT FET for a few years on WIN98SE and I _never_ had a single problem with it
stability wise (V1.1x - V1.3x). I can't speak for V2.xx however.
