Interfacing LAN Cards with PICs

Started by Karlo Campos August 25, 2006
Anybody here have info on interfacing PCI LAN Cards with PIC18's?
Why on Earth for? :) There are much better and faster ways to lose your
sanity! You should look at www.edtp.com for some already made Ethernet
boards with PICs and software that are quite reasonable in cost. An
assembled Frame Thrower or Packet Whacker for $37 seems a good deal to me.

Just a suggestion...

It's OK, but no software stack and you have to design a board around it.
Pretty much like using a PCI card, but easier. So this is more like
what the original poster was looking at doing.
