GameBoy Camera

Started by integrodev September 27, 2003
Hello,

how are you? I have a question about the GameBoy camera, did anybody
interface it with PIC 16F877A and pic basic pro? I made a code for it
but it isn't working. I think I don't know how to set the registers
to the camera so it can't start to send me analog voltage? Can
anybody help me? I can show you the code if you want, I didn't post
it here because it is huge, very huge.

Thank you

This has been done, but I can't remember the website. All i can say
they had a black and white gameboy camera, which had 3 primary
filters on it and with some mathmatic jiggery pokerey managed a low
resolution colour picture.

Have you tried a google search on Gameboy cameras?

I have always been a few Dendrites short of an Axon and believe me it
shows.

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright
until they speak!

I know it has been done, I have some codes also for C and Asembler
but not for PIC, it was done for Atmel or Motorola. I found a site on
German with instructions
http://www.angelfire.com/de3/juliprograms/amr/gbcam.htm but I think
the problem could be me, I don't know how to write these registers to
the camera. It is not the I2C standard, very similar to it. Can
anybody help, please?

Thx Colin
