2 PWM's

Started by mr_gees100_peas March 5, 2004

I'm currently using the pic16f877. This one has two PWM's. I want
to use them both. My question is can each PWM have diferent frequecys
or must both of them have the same frequency?

hi dear
you can generate with different frequencies the helep
of times
contact for detail

Same.

My software has no bugs. Only undocumented features.

Wait a minute, One guy says I can do different frequencies. for
every PWM. The other guy says they both have to be the same? which
one is it? Also, is it possible to change the frequency on the fly.
That is if I'm pulsating at 40KHz then all of a sudden I have to
change to 80Khz for a few seconds and then back is this possible?

Take a look at the pwm section of the data sheet. You will see that
there is one timer for both PWM channels. The answer should follow
quickly...

Anything may be possible, there are many clever people out there.
Using the PWMs the way they are set up in the PIC, I do not see how.

Shifting frequency is not a problem. --- mr_gees100_peas <> wrote:
