Help.
I'm heart broken.
About a year ago I built a homemade wisp628 and used it
for many months and I loved it dearly. It worked perfectly.
Then it sat in my junk box for a new months, and now it's dead.
It will not responde to serial commands.
I need your help guys, I need a way to find where the problem is.
I dont have a scope, but I do have a 5v logic prob.
What do I prob to test that the serial com works ?
What do I prob to test that 16f628 is running ?
Help.

Thanks,
Shachar Weis.

Lift the 16F628(A) from its socket, connect the RB1 and RB2 pins of the
socket, and use a terminal program to see if this loopback realy echoes.
If it does remove the connecten and check that the echo stops.

When power is first applied DB15 pin 6 (LVP) is pulled down two times
very quickly. It will show when a LED is suitably connected.

I get terminal echos when connected and nothing when not.
So I guess it's not the serial comm.

You can always download it from my website...

Now try to read what is in the 'dead' PIC, maybe write the backup code
back?
