PCB house

Started by Eirik Karlsen May 31, 2004
Hi,
have anyone of you had any experience (jobs) with Elprint,
<http://www.elprint.no/> or their MACAOS program
<http://www.macaos.com/support/howto/>
??
They're making quite inexpensive high quality pcb's,
and the use of MACAOS allows us to use the
Gerber and Excellon files from any CAD program...
more or less straight into production.

Haven't got the MACAOS program yet...

I tried to look at the site, but, alas, it was not in a language I can
read.

Something odd (or quite normal actually) about their web page;
gotta use explorer to see it properly...3 other browsers I tried can't handle it.

Anyway, I got the MACAOS program today, 2Mb, will set up my first
PCB house job and see how it goes.

My first try, shows a very expensive quotation,
more expensive than the same board equiped and tested in China.
Maybe I'm wrong, but 15 euro for an 50x80mm single side board
with 400 drills and plenty of time for producing, is too much.
I'll try PCB housing in Hungaria or Bulgaria if I'll be in your skin.
Maybe Romania.

top 10 wishes,
Vasile
