Burglar Alarm

Started by Orhan Gazi October 7, 2004
Hi all,

I want to make a project which is a security system. I want to use pic16f84 for this. Could anyone suggest me a sensor type which can be easily interfaced with pic16f84.

The sensor will sense the existence of the moving object and will activate pic16f84 pins.

Regards

Orhan

I think you'll want a PIR sensor

google it

Just go to Radio Shack and get the IR intrusion detector. Feed it
12VDC (I think) and it will activate switch contacts when something is
detected. Connect the contacts to your PIC and you're in business.

There is a small datasheet included with the device for connecting it
to a burglar alarm. Everything you need should be there.

Hi,

If you want to go wireless you could use OPTEX RC10U and TD10U.  I made a security system with a Mitsubishi plc and some of these wireless motion sensors.  The receiver has relay out and you can run up to 4 motion sensors.  You could interface the receiver very easily to your pic16f84.  Wireless up to 1000 feet is nice to have.

Good Luck
