Indexer doesn't run in eclipse IDE ?

Started by learn 7 years ago6 replieslatest reply 7 years ago172 views
I have following version of eclipse installed in my computer:

Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers

Version: Neon.1a Release (4.6.1)
Build id: 2016 1007-1200

From main menu, I go to Window - Preferences - Indexer but Indexer doesn't run ?

I need to run Indexer so I can navigate my source code.

I right clicked on my project and selected properties. But there is no C/C++ General - Path and Symbols. Why ?

Is it because I downloaded this large 'C' language project through eclipse subversion plugin ? I didn't manually create this project in eclipse.

Did you try these steps?

Hope that helps,

Thank you for the reply.

My indexer isn't even running.

When I right-click on my project, I don't have Index menu.

From Windows - Preferences  - C/C++  -  Indexer,  I cannot run the indexer.  I click OK or Apply but Indexer doesn't run.

Can't help you unless you show the entire preferences pane for the indexer...
