Having chosen to pursue communication arts and techinique at the exclusion of the more precise but often more viscid mathematical language, I still retained what perhaps uniquely geometrical insights that made functioning as a calculator at one point so easy, until I began to question the meaning of such operations. Now I find myself overwhelmed with ideation but, in the nature of the universe's sense irony, lack the rigorous mathematical language and all its deterministic percision to convey the meat of the coconut of such ideas. Now working on bridging that gap for many reasons, but most of all to enjoy learning from the wealth of genius and experience so many much more intelligent folks have to offer!
Until we can do the work that really matters (ie figuring out how not to sit on explosions to get from star to star), let's first set the bar so this planet is ready for the real work that matters. This is quite an engineering task to undertake, so I appreciate all the help I can get.
First item of business, implement a reasonable expectation that any person sampled at random has enough functional literacy and at least the foundation of statistical intuition to participate in an honest accounting of how far we've come, and how far we've go to go.
