Need help about ETHERNETof AT91SAM7X256

hi,all
i'm begginer of ARM.
i want to know that:
when connect MAC chip same as RTL8201,DM9161 need different driver in software
or MAC dont need any driver and driver only need for internal PHY.

You don't need any driver change. Only some mac drivers(freertos one) check
phy id and return error if it is not in the list. All you need to do is to add
the id to the list.

Also mac is able to talk to more than phy, so you need to check if addresses
are the same.
