The maximum DTMF frequency is 1633 Hz, and a BX-24 or BX-35 can sample up to 6 kHz, which should be plenty fast enough. I haven't tried DTMF decoding myself, but I'd guess it shouldn't be too difficult. -- Frank Manning -- NetMedia, Inc. |

tHANK YOU FOR YOUR MAIL BUT....WHEN I CONNECT BASIC STAMP 2 WITH DTMF GENERATION IN ORDER TO DECODE THE SIGNAL WITH A CD22202....NOTHING HAPPENS; WHERE IS THE PROBLEM? HAVE YOU AN IDEA? JEAN |

I have used the 8870 to do this which is very easy and works very well, but there are many many chiips which do the same thing. Just do google search and you will get sveral thousand replies. Jean You are asking a pretty open ended question. Is the BS2 running? Can you flash a led for example. Is there any output on the DTMF pin...can you look at it with a scope, or can you hearc it with a xtal earpiece? This group is dedicated to the BX24 which is a different device ( and more powerful than the BS2). The BS2 discussion group can be found at parallaxinc.com regards neil wrote: > tHANK YOU FOR YOUR MAIL BUT....WHEN I CONNECT BASIC STAMP 2 WITH DTMF > GENERATION IN ORDER TO DECODE THE SIGNAL WITH A CD22202....NOTHING > HAPPENS; WHERE IS > THE PROBLEM? Unless you're trying to experiment, just use an 8870 and be done with it... Ken ------ http://www.ah6le.net The RC-210 Repeater Controller is now shipping!
