Hi all. I'm new in this group but I'm an old MSP430 user. I have an
old FETx11x interface to program MC units but I don't know till what model
I can program by it. When I bought it there was only the 1 serie. But now I see
the family is growing up day by day. Can anyone help me?

It probably can only be used to program 1xx chips that fit the ZIF socket on the
board. What is the model and version of that board?
For example, MSP-FET430U28 has a 28 pin PW (TSSOP) socket ZIF. It can only be used to program 20-pin or 28-pin PW (TSSOP) packaged 1xx chips.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I know in the ZIF socket I can't plug for
example a 100 pin TQFP :-) but on the MSP-FET430x110 board there are also two
connector (J2 and J3) with all JTAG signals (TDO, TDI, TST, TMS, TCK, ...) so my
question was if this old FET version could do the same work of a MSP-FET430PIF.
My idea was to program a MSP430F47197.

Most MSP430 tools utilize a MSP430 chip to do its job. They may include a JTAG
connector to program that MSP430 on the board. If that is the case, the
connector cannot be used to program MSP430 target chip. It is for updating the
tool itself.
If your board has a MSP430 chip, find out where those JTAG signals are connected to. They may be connected to the JTAG pins and not GPIO pins.
