I was wondering of anyone here has used the
MC1377 and PICs to generate colour tv signals.
And/Or if there are any links or books that
show how to use it. So far I can only find non-english pages with
info.
I was wondering if it is somehow possible to
turn PICTetris into a coloured version using the MC1377?
Thanks,
Nigel

Not my idea though - Originates in italy (Use a 4.43XTal in UK of course)- There is a pdf called video-en.pdf contains circuit, PCB & asm Should find it if you search the www Barry |

Thanks.
I can't actually seem to be able to find
that pdf (google and ftp searches) but I'll keep looking.
BTW I now realise I can't
actually procure the mc1377 (the catalogue I was looking at was 2 years old
and no one has stock these days)
The only thing that looks similar and available
is the AD724 and AD725 - is this right? Or is there another chp out there that
does colour encoding?
Thanks,
Nigel

Thank you so much - that pdf is an absolute
gold-mine.
BTW I love all the PIC projects on your site.
I've added a link to it from my site.
And where do you source your MC1377s from?
I'm in Australia so I've looked around for mail order places with
google but can not seem to find anything. The only source I can think of is
pulling them out of amiga A520 Tv modules but I don't think I could come at
ripping apart perfectly good historical hardware.... :)
Thanks,
Nigel

That's great. I have found my supplier info of 6 months ago. For any UK readers of this, I got mine from: Mode Components 0121 2333661 Says 2.20 I would be interested to hear from you when constructed. Thanks for the compliments re my url - as you will appreciate, there have been many hours (thousands, I guess) in the development of the items therein. I am indebted to the PIC.
