Hi, I am looking for a source on the Internet where I can buy 1-2 pcs of the Realtek 8019 chip or, alternatively, a similar source for an easy to use Ethernet Controller chip. (I have found a NatSemi chip at Digikey, but I'm not yet sure...) I want to connect a PIC microcontroller to a LAN / the Internet (using Microchip's TCPIP stack, for example). Anyone have a clue ? Thank you Mike |

I'd be inclined to remove the chip from a network card, and use that. You could just interface the card to the PIC, for prototyping. I've heard of people doing that. Leon |

I sell these chips :) http://www.voti.nl/shop/p/IC-RTL8019AS-SMD.html you might also need http://www.voti.nl/shop/p/CON-LF1S022.html Note that I added these chips and connectors to my shop because people on the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jallist/ are using these chips with a 16F877A or 18F452 programmed in Jal. Could be interesting for you. One guy (Eur van Andel) sells a PCB for this. I like Fred Eady's single-board interfaces for this purpose. It has on it a Realtec 8019, or the next generation version, as well as a PIC16F877, as well as a CCS C compatible TCP/IP stack. --- In , "mike962abc" <mike962abc@y...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > I am looking for a source on the Internet where I can buy 1-2 pcs of > the Realtek 8019 chip or, alternatively, a similar source for an > easy to use Ethernet Controller chip.
