That will work.
I have not used 74LSxx parts since about 1986. I don't know why anyone
still uses them othe rthan that is what is taught in schools.
I'd use a 74HC14 ;)
If it is a very slow rising/falling input you can add some feedback on
an inverter to increase the hysteresis.
