Hi to everyone,
1)I am working with the ARM board mentioned above. I have crosscompiled a
kernel
and now I want to flash the board with SAMBA. So I connected the board over
the RS232 and the USB_D interface to my host system (Ubuntu) powerd up the board
and start SAMBA. I choose the USB0 for interface and now appears the fist
problem.
- Only the board AT91SAM9260 EK is available
When I choose this board with the additional EK and try to connect the following
Error appears:
No valid processor ID found
How can I solve this problem? Is there a patch or something like that to add the
board I'm using to the ones listed?
So the only opportunity for me to go on is to choose "no board". Then SAMBA
starts.
Is it ok to flash the board choosing "no board", or is SAMBA working with wrong
parameters going this way?
2) Another problem comes up when I try to communicate with minicom to the board.
I start minicom with the right parameters and power up the board. It boots and
after some time it's asking for an password or login. Here the text from
the command terminal:
---------------
DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 7

There is no error message and no login. Do anyone know what to do here?
Kind regards

When the processor starts up, it needs to be in the "ROM Boot" prompt.
You generally do this by disconnecting external flash, and there's a
jumper to do this. I don't know what that jumper is on the 9260, but
the manual should say.
Make sure that on the serial port you see
ROMBoot

The user name you're looking for is probably "root", then try 'olimex'
or a blank password.
