Saw this thread a bit late. If the OP is in Australia, still around and interested I *do* have a Nohau EMUL51 emulator board set though I doubt anyone has the 2 x ISA slots anymore that these require... Alternatively I also have a Philips PDS51 (made in NZ) and if anyone is still reading ;-) a CIEBO 750 kit (Philips 87X750,1 & 2 micros). Chris.

Either of those are a LOT better than a JTAG. -- \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ \/\/\/\/\ Chris Hills Staffs England /\/\/\/\/ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Depends on your problems : I'd much rather emulate with the same silicon as I ship :) - as an example, the last two 'Emulation Needed issues' we tracked down, related to Silicon peripheral issues. (and subtle variations from the datasheets) If the emulator uses bondout, or different silicon, you have a blind spot. -jg

For many 51's you use a hooks part so there is no difference. -- \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ \/\/\/\/\ Chris Hills Staffs England /\/\/\/\/ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
Chris H brought next idea :

Thanks for the advices. I'll try to find them. PS: I'm writing from Italy.

..what would you suggest as a place to look for those? I am in a somwhat similar situation as djordj - I have got a MX51, model MX51-A-19, serial number 647 but I am in need for the software (any platform would be OK) and the DIL40 adapter cable since I want to work on a 8751 based design... I am monitoring eBay for 6 months now, but no success especially on the DIL40 cable... Thanks and best regards, Erik.

BTW: This is the Hitex emulator and I am in Germany ;-)
