No low cost MCU has a better boot loader ! So which Luddite
Linux nerd forced U-Boot on us !!!

Smells of govt pork barrel legislation ....

Linux image needs nothing, it can be loaded into RAM and run ,,

but Linux Nerds forced the fs to be RO , so it could be tested and
....

   Say what !!??

Stay tuned for free ARM7 OpSys , totally intrgrated solution to your
software dilema ....program it om battery power ..

Better than what?

Forced? I boot Linux without it just fine.

Pork smells good. I like pork. I like my pork with a prinkle of salt.

Yep, that's the way we do it.

Simplest solution: PLONK. See below. That way we won't be bothered with trollfood. -- +-------------------+ .:\:\:/:/:. | PLEASE DO NOT F :.:\:\:/:/:.: | FEED THE TROLLS | :=.' - - '.=: | | '=(\ 9 9 /)=' | Thank you, | ( (_) ) | Management | /`-vvv-'\ +-------------------+ / \ | | @@@ / /|,,,,,|\ \ | | @@@ /_// /^\ \\_\ @x@@x@ | | |/ WW( ( ) )WW \||||/ | | \| __\,,\ /,,/__ \||/ | | | jgs (______Y______) /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\//\/\\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ ============================================================== fix (vb.): 1. to paper over, obscure, hide from public view; 2. to work around, in a way that produces unintended consequences that are worse than the original problem. _______________________________________ There is no more interest in Linux and its bloat U-Boot . Because the h/w is so much easier to work with Linux and M$ CE are being obsoleted . In the next 9 months , we will get a simple free OpSys for ARM , that obsoletes all system and application s/w . Now you will err , and say it would take many years because C/C++ the standard .... It is because of C/C++ , we created Bloat , and tooks years to write !! Linux is bloat , written in C , cause Linus can hide his work . In a structured , integrated language/OpSys , you cant hide anything . The kernel even helps you disassemble the "applications" integrated into the kernel . And it wont force you to go to low level code to understand how it works , like C or Linux does .. No human will say the word Linux nor Microsoft nor assembler , nor GNU , nor I.D.E. .....after the software revolt in 2007 ..... You will do everything from the 20 softkeys near the LCD . You wont have a "day job " after the revolt ... Modern h/d does not need many layers of booting .
