Started by Steven Woody October 18, 2007
hi,

i want to build a 2.6.22.10 linux kernel for a arm 920 board. instead
of everything from scratch, can i find a "default" or
"startup" .config file to start? thanks.

Funny, on the buildroot mailing list, you had an ARM922T :-) -- Best Regards, Ulf Samuelsson This is intended to be my personal opinion which may, or may not be shared by my employer Atmel Nordic AB

Same answer as last time. You do not tell us which chip it is, so noone can help you. What is the real problem in asking your chip vendor for a linux .config file? -- Best Regards, Ulf Samuelsson This is intended to be my personal opinion which may, or may not be shared by my employer Atmel Nordic AB

sorry. i am sure it's a 920T arm.

An ARM920T is a CPU core. It is not a chip. Based on your comments on different forums, I really doubt that you will be able to complete whatever you plan to do. -- Best Regards, Ulf Samuelsson This is intended to be my personal opinion which may, or may not be shared by my employer Atmel Nordic AB

So you already have it inside buildroot. target/device/Atmel/at91rm9200df/at91rm9200df-linux-*.config - Assuming you are using a dataflash. This is (IIRC) automatically choosen if you select the Atmel AT91RM9200 target and the AT91RM9200DF board in buildroot. You need to select KERNEL (Advanced Configuration) as well. You do not need to get a toolchain, since buildroot will build it for you. -- Best Regards, Ulf Samuelsson This is intended to be my personal opinion which may, or may not be shared by my employer Atmel Nordic AB
